Hi,

I'm doing a new installation of Windows 2003 R2 Standard Edition (French
version) on a HP Proliant ML350. At the end of the installation and in Stage
1 of the critical security updates, I'm asked (in English) to make Microsoft
Windows update a trusted website by adding a series of URL's to the list of
the secure websites in the Internet browser(http://update.microsoft.com,
https://update.microsoft.com, http://*.update.microsoft.com,
https://*.update.microsoft.com, http://download.windowsupdate.com).

When I try to add any of these adresses to the approved sites, I get an
error message (in French) that I have tried to "enter a series of invalid
non-generic characters" and then gives examples of valid sequences like
"*://*.microsoft.com" which produces the same error message!

Of course I could just take off the security on the browser. Has anyone else
had this problem (which may be just related to the French localisation)?
