Hi all,

I recently learned from reading that bots and spiders can't
penetrate a multi-page GridView with built-in paging, they can only read
the first page. It was a true Doh! moment, I don't know why
it never occurred to me to check that, but there you go.
The paging links are javascript, not url's, so bots can't read them.
There are a few solutions to this, each has pluses and minuses.
Here is another option. I hijacked the paging row on the GridView and
inserted paging links that are url's. Its not a perfect solution because
it bypasses .NET state processing and I have to be careful with querystring,
but it was the right fit for what I was doing. I created a
demo application with complete source code and solution files that
you can run online and download as well. Hope it helps.
